There is a general awareness of the substantial benefits of solar energy for homes; however, many people do not know the importance of water harvesting.

Importance of Water Harvesting

The ancient practice of water harvesting combined with the modern technology of creating water from air are becoming quintessential resources for residential home use. We will be implementing this during Phase 2 of our community housing plan.

Researchers at NASA discovered that 21 out of 37 of the world’s largest aquifers have depleted lower than needed to sustain the populations that rely on them.

In 2023, the New York Times published a series stating aquifers that supply 90 percent of water system in the U.S. and irrigate “some of the world’s most bountiful farmland” are now dwindling threatening the ability to support industrial-scale agriculture.

The times quoted Don Cline, USGS Associate Director for water resources, who said “there is no way to replenish that lost groundwater – or even explain what it means to the public. There’s almost no way to convey how important it is.”

in other words, we’re using water from these aquifers faster than they are being replenished.
